The former Ibrox man was speaking to the Rangers Youth Development Co on Friday.
Terry Hurlock has explained why he only spent a year at Rangers.
The now 61-year-old former midfielder moved to Rangers from Millwall in August 1990.
But 13 months later Hurlock was a Southampton player – with Scottish Premiership and League Cup medals in the bag.
Speaking via the Rangers Youth Development Co Twitter account on Friday, the Englishman was asked about his fleeting stay in Glasgow, and said:
Hurlock was fast approaching his 33rd birthday at the time of his departure.
But he still managed to make Rangers a £25,000 profit on the £375,000 fee they paid to Millwall.
Hurlock later played for the Lions a third time, before ending his career at Fulham.
The Londoner began it in non league, prior to spells at Brentford and Reading.
