It’s been a very difficult season for Adrian at Liverpool.

The former West Ham United goalkeeper played his part in helping the Reds to Premier League glory last season, making 11 appearances in that competition.

It’s quite unusual for a second-choice goalkeeper to play that often in a Premier League campaign, but Liverpool star Alisson has had his fair share of injury issues during his two-and-a-half year spell.

That has also been the case at times this season but, instead of using the Spaniard, Jurgen Klopp has promoted 22-year-old Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher.

With six months left on his Liverpool contract, Adrian is now Klopp’s third choice and he has probably already played his last-ever game for the Merseyside club.

And according to Estadio Deportivo, the 34-year-old and Liverpool are both open to the idea of him leaving before Monday’s transfer deadline.

The report adds that because there’s such little time left on his deal, the English club’s hierarchy would not demand much for the stopper.

Leaving is definitely the right choice for Adrian, if the opportunity comes about.

There hasn’t been much speculation about him leaving, which means there aren’t many clubs interested it would seem, but things can happen very quickly during a transfer window and it really wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he does leave Anfield.
