Celtic new boy Timothy Weah is enjoying being one of Scott Brown’s teammates and says he is a role model.
Weah told The Mail: “He is a leader of men and he shows that and he shows his passion for the club.
“I don’t see a problem with it. Scott Brown is amazing. Ever since I have been here, he is a role model for me.
“Just knowing that people said he was finished and that he has shown the world that he still has it in him is great, he shows that you never give up and always keep going.
“He is doing an amazing job. He is a leader of men and one of the best captains I have ever had.”
It’d be wrong to interpret Weah’s comments as a sign he wants to stay at Celtic, but his view of Brown won’t count against the prospect.
The Paris Saint-Germain youngster has had an impressive start at Celtic so far and has deserved more chances than he has been getting.
He has produced whenever he has got his chance, including in midweek against St Mirren.
Weah’s comments on Brown show the midfielder’s positive side, which this week has been largely overlooked.
