Celtic were knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday night.

Timothy Weah has told Celtic fans on Instagram that he is “gutted” after the Hoops were knocked out of the Europa League by Spanish side Valencia on Thursday night.
The La Liga outfit went into the match with a 2-0 advantage after beating Celtic at Parkhead last week thanks to goals from Denis Cheryshev and Ruben Sobrino.
Despite dominating early on, Celtic suffered a 1-0 loss. Jeremy Toljan’s red card in the first half proved pivotal, before Kevin Gameiro scored the only goal of the game after a number of excellent saves from Scott Bain.
Weah – who is celebrating his 19th birthday on Friday – posted on Instagram after the match despite failing to get on the pitch, remaining an unused substitute throughout the clash.
Since joining Celtic on loan from Paris Saint-Germain until the end of the season, Weah has scored three goals and created another in just nine games. His best moment came in the 2-0 win over St. Johnstone, with a goal and an assist.
The eight-time USA international will be hoping he is more involved on Sunday, as the Hoops play host to in-form Motherwell at Parkhead. Stephen Robinson’s side have won their last six league matches.
