Timothy Weah comments on playing with Celtic teammate Odsonne Edouard

Celtic duo Timothy Weah and Odsonne Edouard played together at Paris Saint-Germain.

Celtic striker Timothy Weah has told The Glasgow Evening Times that he is looking forward to forging a partnership with Odsonne Edouard.

Weah has joined Celtic on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old striker played with Edouard at PSG, and the USA international is relishing the prospect of linking up with the Frenchman at Celtic.

Weah told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I know Odsonne really well because we played a full season together and became very good friends. I am so excited to play here at Celtic with him.

“I already know his qualities and he knows mine. We have a really strong chemistry. We share so much of the same passions and we really get on with one another on and off the field You will see that when we get the chance to play together.”

Scary for the opposition defence

Celtic have a strong attacking unit, and the signing of Weah will make the Hoops even more potent.

Edouard is one of the best young strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and him playing with Weah will be frightening for opposition defenders in Scotland.

Weah already scored on his competitive debut for the Hoops, and the teenager can only get better.

Celtic are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and remain favourites to win the league title yet agains.

Brendan Rodgers’s side have also progressed to the round of 32 in the Europa League this campaign.
