Timothy Weah comments on Celtic fans

Timothy Weah joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

Timothy Weah has hailed the atmosphere during Celtic’s game at Celtic Park at the weekend, as quoted in The Daily Mail.

Weah made his competitive debut for Celtic against Airdrieonian at Celtic Park in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday afternoon.

The USA international striker scored in the 83rd minute, as Brendan Rodgers’s won the tie 3-0.

The 18-year-old joined Celtic on loan from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window until the end of the season.

Weah was impressed with the atmosphere at Celtic Park and has praised the Celtic fans.

“It’s probably the best experience I have had, playing in front of those Celtic fans,” Weah told The Daily Mail.

“When I scored, it was like something out of a dream. If this is just the minimum, that’s insane. I can’t imagine how it is when it’s full. It’s crazy.”

Good signing for Celtic

Weah is very young and quite raw, but his performance and goal for Celtic on his competitive debut was very encouraging.

The 18-year-old striker is only going to improve in the coming months (and years), and a goalscoring run is going to boost the American’s confidence.

With Celtic aiming to successfully defend the Scottish Premiership title and also progress in the Europa League this season, Weah will be an important player for the Hoops.
