Arsenal fans feel that Hector Bellerin is on his way out, after Mikel Arteta axed him from the Gunners’ squad for their match against West Ham United yesterday.
Bellerin’s absence was claimed not to be down to injury, with Cedric and Calum Chambers both picked to be in Arsenal’s squad ahead of him.
Chambers started for Arteta’s side, and he actually really impressed in a slightly unfamiliar role in the contest.
Chambers’ delivery from out wide was excellent, as Arsenal turned around a 3-0 deficit to claim a point.
And Arsenal fans feel that they have begun to see the beginning of the end for Bellerin now.
CBS has reported that Bellerin, who is valued at £36 million, could be keen to move on in the summer, so Arteta may simply be trying out his options now.
Arsenal are actually expected to sign a right-back in the summer and if Bellerin does go then their need for a new full-back will only increase.
Chambers’ excellent display means that Bellerin now faces a real fight to win his place in the team back, after seemingly falling a long way down the pecking order.
