Leeds United fans have quickly jumped on the opportunity to urge Ben White to come back to Elland Road, after he expressed his frustrations on social media last night.
The Brighton & Hove Albion defender played for his side as they were beaten 2-1 by Southampton yesterday, and he was clearly annoyed at full-time.
Leeds fans sensed the chance to capitalise on White’s bad mood, and suggested that he would be much happier if he just returned to them.
Leeds did chase White hard in the summer, after he played a starring role in helping them earn promotion, but The Sun reported how they simply couldn’t afford his £50 million asking price.
Whether Leeds will now return for White in the future remains to be seen.
Leeds have brought in Robin Koch and Diego Llorente to bolster their defensive options, but White has performed well in a Brighton shirt and proven his capability at the top level.
Leeds are actually above Brighton in the table as things stand, with Marcelo Bielsa’s men in 14th spot and Brighton in 16th.
