‘Time to buy him’: Some Manchester City fans wowed by Tottenham 29-year-old yesterday

Manchester City fans lauded Heung-Min Son’s performance for Tottenham on Sunday, who recorded a 1-0 win against the Premier League champions.

In the absence of Harry Kane, who is still building up his fitness, Son scored the only goal of the game to help seal a deserved three points for Spurs.

The aggression, positivity and speed in which Nuno Espirito Santo’s side played in was pretty impressive, as they fed off the vocal home crowd.

Man City fans liked what they saw from Son, who scored against them once again, this time a well-placed left-footed strike from the edge of the area.

A lot of the talk might have been about Kane and his future before the game, but Son did the business without his partner in crime.

And Man City supporters may have been worried about their performance on the opening weekend, but they acknowledged a top display when they see one.

Son has been one of those unsung heroes in this Spurs side, and whilst many talk about needing Kane to move forward again, the 29-year-old is as important.

Of course, from their perspective of Nuno, it would make his life easier if he can pair the duo again.

Only time will tell whether he is able to pair two of the best forwards in the league because they broke Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton’s record last time out.
