West Ham United should sign Jese from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
The 2016-17 campaign was quite a disappointment for Jese. Much was expected of the 24-year-old forward when he switched from Real Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £21 million, but the Spaniard failed to make an impact at the Parc des Princes.
Jese was able to make only nine appearances in Ligue 1 last season – only one of them was as a starter – before join Las Palmas in Spain on loan in the January transfer window. The 24-year-old did relatively well during his loan stint in La Liga, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 13 starts, according to WhoScored.

It remains to be seen if the former Spain Under-21 international will be given another chance at PSG next season, but West Ham United should still make a move for him in the summer transfer window, perhaps on an initial one-year loan deal.
The Daily Star reported in December 2016 that West Ham were weighing up a loan move for Jese in the January transfer window. If the Hammers were interested in the Spaniard then, then they should be even more keen now.
During the short loan spell at Las Palmas, Jese has recovered some of the form he showed at Real Madrid, with whom he won La Liga in 2012 and the Champions League in 2014 and 2016.
With Jese’s confidence restored, West Ham would be wise to make an offer for the Spanish forward, who is quick, has an eye for goal, can play in different positions in attack and is very creative.
