Should Massimo Cellino make a decision on Garry Monk’s future and rehire Steve Evans as the Leeds United head coach?

Leeds United started the season aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship, but as things stand, they are facing relegation to League One.
The West Yorkshire outfit will head into the match against Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on Tuesday evening third from bottom in the league table.
Garry Monk, who was appointed the Whites’ head coach in the summer, is struggling to get results, and there is frustration among the fans.
Blackburn are at the foot of the Championship table at the moment, and it is hard to see Leeds drop all three points on Tuesday evening.
But if Leeds do lose on Tuesday evening, then should club chairman Massimo Cellino get rid of Monk and re-hire Steve Evans?
Probably yes.

Monk is a very good and talented young manager, and he showed that when he was at Swansea City.
However, a defeat to Blackburn on Tuesday evening would suggest that the Englishman has failed to address the problems that have been affecting Leeds since the start of the season.
Evans may not have been good enough for Cellino to carry on beyond the end of last season, but he showed during his brief spell at Elland Road last season that he is good enough to keep the Whites in the Championship.

When the Scotsman was appointed the Leeds head coach in October 2015, Leeds were 18th in the Championship table and were in danger of getting dragged into a relegation dogfight.
The West Yorkshire failed to break into the top 10 under Evans last season, but they ended up 13th – just a point behind behind Queens Park Rangers, and above Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest and Fulham in the standings.
True, the football Leeds played under Evans was not particularly great, but at least the Whites retained their Championship status.
The former Rotherham United manager is unattached at the moment and recently spoke highly of Leeds fans.
Evans told The Football League Paper (published on Sunday, September 11), as reported by Inside Fulbol, that the Leeds supporters are unbelievable.
Moreover, Cellino has a history of rehiring managers, which means that picking up the phone and calling the Scotsman would probably not be too hard for him to do.
As reported by Sky Sports, during his time as the Cagliari owner, the Italian entrepreneur rehired Oscar Tabarez, Giampiero Ventura, Daniele Arrigoni, Davide Ballardini, Nedo Sonetti and Massimo Ficcadenti after initially parting company with them.
Evans would surely be delighted to get the phone call, perhaps even a little more surprised than he was the first time around.
