Tim Sherwood has told Sky Sports that he believes Marcelo Bielsa is untouchable.

The EFL are investigating comments made by Bielsa that he has ‘spied’ on rival opponents.

Bielsa came out defending his stance yesterday at a press conference, explaining it as just a minor part of his meticulous research.

Sherwood warned the EFL that they cannot really hurt Bielsa.

Describing him as a ‘timebomb’, the former Aston Villa boss observed that the club are likely to bear the brunt of any punishment.

Speaking to SkySports’ The Debate (16/1 10pm), Sherwood said: “They can’t hurt him, can they. Nothing they can do is going to hurt him.

“This guy has managed 10 clubs already, I think he’s a timebomb ready to go at any stage.

“He’s managed two national sides. There’s nothing they can do to hurt him. The only thing they could possibly do, is hurt the club.”

Hurting the club would actually hurt Bielsa more than any sanctions the EFL could impose on him.

Leeds are four points clear at the top of the Championship as it stands.

Fortunately for Leeds, there is no precedent for any kind of offence of this nature leading to points deduction of any kind.
