Bournemouth striker Josh King is believed to be interesting Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino.

Tim Sherwood has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on 21st June on TalkSPORT, that Josh King would be perfect for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Bournemouth forward King, with Mauricio Pochettino believed to be a fan of the rapid forward.

And Sherwood feels that King would be the ideal competition for Harry Kane at Spurs.

“I’m sure they’re looking for a few. I’m sure Pochettino knows he needs to freshen it up,”

“Obviously it’s important they keep the players they’ve got, but they’ve got to add to freshen up the dressing room.

“I think another centre-forward, but it’s really important they get the right one.

“For me, it’d be the boy at Bournemouth – I think Josh King has loads to offer. I think he’d be the perfect player for Tottenham’s squad and he’d get plenty of games.”

King scored 16 goals for Bournemouth in the Premier League last season, and finished the campaign as one of the most in-form strikers in England.

King was deadly in front of goal towards the end of last season, and established himself as the Cherries’ main forward.

If the Norwegian international was to move to Spurs, he may have to play a more covering role, as Kane will retain his spot as Pochettino’s number one striker.

However, King has recently suggested that the rumours linking him with a move to Tottenham have ‘intrigued’ him (Independent).

Spurs are yet to make a signing this summer, but they are expected to be active as the transfer window progresses.
