Leeds United, Aston Villa and Norwich City all are in the running for promotion to the Premier League.

The former Villa manager also said that he wants Norwich City to play in the top flight of English football during the 2019-20 campaign.
Sherwood played for Norwich from 1989 to 1992, and managed Villa from February 2015 until October 2015.
Sherwood said on the Saturday Morning Savage show on BT Sport 1 this past Saturday morning (11:40am, April 6, 2019) when asked which three teams from the Championship he would like to get promoted: “Leeds, without doubt, Norwich and Aston Villa.”

Promotion race
Norwich are seven points clear at the top of the Championship table at the moment, and it does look like the Canaries will win automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
The battle for the other promotion spot is between Sheffield United and Leeds, and it could go down to the wire, with just a point separating the two Yorkshire rivals at the moment.
As for Villa, Dean Smith’s side are currently fifth in the standings, and the Villans can certainly finish in the playoffs.
