Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a signing over the summer so far.
Tottenham have already sold Kyle Walker, and Danny Rose’s latest comments have sparked rumours he could be set to depart.
And Sherwood suggests that if Tottenham do sell Rose they should put all the money made in to signing Bale from Real Madrid.

“We would all love them to see them buy Gareth Bale,” he said. “Don’t go and get three average players, just go out and get one special player and that guy would give such a lift.
“Perhaps Daniel has that in the back of his mind. It’s wishful thinking, I don’t believe it’s going to happen, but why not assimilate it, put it in one pot and bring Bale back to Tottenham?
“They’ll win the league. If they stay lucky with injuries, and have Bale in their squad, they’ll win the league next season.”
Rumours that Tottenham could move for Bale have begun to increase in recent times, with his future at Madrid not entirely secure.
Bale has suggested that he is happy at Madrid, but there is a feeling that he could lose his place in Zinedine Zidane’s line-up.
Spurs are the only team in the Premier League yet to make a signing this summer, with frustrations growing at their inactivity.
Spurs have been so close to winning the Premier League title in the last two seasons, but there is a fear that their failure to improve the squad could prove costly over the coming campaign.
