West Ham United are doing well at the moment, but you sense that manager David Moyes could do with a striker, if not now, then certainly in the long term.

Michail Antonio is the main striker at West Ham United at the moment, but he is not getting any younger.

Danny Ings is an option for West Ham manager David Moyes, but he is 31 now.

Jarrod Bowen can play as a striker, but that is not his ‘natural’ position.

While the Hammers have made a good start to the season, if the London club are to progress on the pitch, then they will have to bring in a quality striker, either in the January transfer window or next summer.

West Ham United told to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has said that Brentford striker Ivan Toney would be perfect for West Ham United.

Sherwood said about Toney on Sky Sports News (1:25pm, September 23, 2023): “I think West Ham.

“I think he is a perfect David Moyes player.”

West Ham United should consider Ivan Toney

Ivan Toney is serving a ban at the moment and will not be available to play until January 2024.

The striker is training, though.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has already said that Toney could be sold at the right price.

According to talkSPORT, Brentford want as much as £60 million for the England international striker.

We believe that for £60 million, West Ham should take a look at Toney.

The striker has progressed and developed over the years and has proven himself in the Premier League.

And he is 27 now.

The striker’s best years are ahead of him.

Toney has made 68 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The 27-year-old England international has scored 32 goals and given nine assists in those games.
