Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur produced stunning fightbacks to reach the Champions League final in Madrid.

Tim Sherwood has claimed that if Liverpool play to their maximum in the Champions League final then they will beat Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid next month.
However, the former Premier League manager has boldly suggested that given how Spurs have reached the final then their name might already be on the trophy.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side, since the group stages, have either scored late goals or been in involved in late drama which has resulted in them reaching this stage.
Speaking on The Debate on Sky Sports Premier League (08/05/2019 at 10:25 pm), Sherwood gave an insight into the up and coming European final between the two English teams.
By how much will Liverpool be favourites: “Slight margin,” Sherwood told The Debate. “They both know each other, inside out. I believe they are going to that game as favourites Liverpool, no matter who they were playing. But you can’t write off Tottenham.
“I think they have the quality, especially if they get some players fit. They have a month to do that now. Tottenham beat anyone on their day. I think they have the quality to do that and they have a top manager. If they all play to their maximum, Liverpool win. If Liverpool just switch off for a tiny bit, Tottenham will punish them and win the game.
“Maybe the names on it [the trophy] for Tottenham. They were written off at the group stages, no-one gave them a chance. No-one gave them a chance at the Etihad. No-one gave them a chance against Ajax. Now, they are going to Madrid.”

For the first time since 2008, two English teams are going to be involved in the Champions League final – Manchester United beat Chelsea on penalties in Moscow back then.
Added with that, the Europa League final will also be contested between two English sides. London duo Arsenal and Chelsea booked their tickets to the final on Thursday night.
As a result, two English teams will be holding aloft both European trophies as English football showcases its dominance across Europe once again.
Tottenham will be hoping to lift their first Champions League trophy under the stewardship of Pochettino, whilst Liverpool will be aiming to win their sixth.
