Are Tottenham Hotspur good enough to win the Champions League this season?

Tim Sherwood has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur can win the Champions League this season.
The former Tottenham manager believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s side can go all the way in Europe’s premier club competition this campaign.
Sherwood told Sky Sports about Tottenham: “They can win the Champions League. On their day they can beat anyone, they’ve shown that.”

Bold suggestion or realistically possible?
Tottenham may not have the quality of players that the likes of Manchester City, Barcelona and Bayern Munich do, but the performances and results of the North London outfit in the Champions League so far this season have been great.
Spurs finished ahead of Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the group stage, and came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Juventus in Turin in the first leg of their last-16 tie last month.

If Tottenham can get past Juventus and into the quarter-finals, then that will make other remaining teams in the Champions League sit up and take notice.
Over two legs in a knockout tie anything is possible, and the way Spurs bounced back against Juventus in Italy suggests that they have what it takes to get the better of the best teams in Europe over 180 minutes.
