Tim Sherwood has given his verdict on the performance of Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah against Brentford.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager was hugely impressed by the display produced by Salah in the Premier League game.

So, what has Tim Sherwood said about Liverpool star Mohamed Salah? Let’s take a look.

Praise for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah vs Brentford

Well, Liverpool hammered Brentford 4-1 away from home in London in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Mohamed Salah was a star for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners in the match.

The £34 million (BBC Sport) forward scored a goal and provided an assist. And, he did not even start the match.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood was following the match for Premier League Productions, and he thinks that Salah is back to his best.

Sherwood said on PremierLeagueProductions: ”The only negative was the injuries. You don’t want injuries at this time of the season, but what a positive that Mo Salah’s back and he looks back to his best. The assist and his goal he takes brilliantly.”

My View: Mohamed Salah comeback enhances Liverpool’s title chances

The win against Brentford in London on Saturday afternoon keeps Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

With Arsenal and Manchester City close behind, Liverpool need Mohamed Salah to be no top form in the coming weeks and months.

The Reds coped well when Salah was not available due to the Africa Cup of Nations and injury. Diogo Jota stepped up in his place.

And, now with Salah back in action, Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League title for only the second time under manager Jurgen Klopp have increased.

Salah is a goal machine. The 31-year-old Egyptian forward has scored 15 goals and given nine assists in 21 Premier League matches this season.
