The former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa boss has also noted that Arsenal need their attacking players to score goals and share the burden, pointing out Martin Odegaard is back to his best.

The £30 million (Sky Sports) Norway international playmaker went through a disappointing spell this season, but he is now back in top gear, scoring goals and creating chances.

Odegaard has made 22 appearances in the Premier League so far this season. The £240,000-a-week (Spotrac) former Real Madrid attacking midfielder has scored five goals and given six assists in those games.

Sherwood has also noted the effect that Leandro Trossard has on Arsenal whenever he plays.

The winger has made nine starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season. He has scored seven goals and given one assist in those games.

Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (12:08 pm, February 24, 2024): “Arsenal, if they continue to play the way they are playing, open up the game and teams play toe-to-toe against them, they can beat anyone, but they have to share their goals around the team, the likes of Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard back to his best at the moment.

“They have got to keep chipping in. Trossard when he makes affects every football match, but they have to play brilliantly to win football matches.”

In my opinion, Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard is one of the best and most important players for the Gunners.

I think that Odegaard will play a big role for Arsenal in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.

The Norwegian is the Gunners’ playmaker-in-chief, and for Arsenal to score the goals they need to win matches, Odegaard has to create them.
