Dele Alli has scored nine goals in his last nine outings for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tim Sherwood has told Squawka’s Facebook page, in a question and answer session in conjunction with Football Manager, that Dele Alli is not a conventional number 10.
Sherwood believes that attacking midfielders should be looking to get on the scoresheet as regularly as possible.

The likes of David Silva and Mesut Ozil are seen as two of the top creators in the Premier League, but neither have ever been frequent scorers.
And Sherwood believes that Alli’s goalscoring instincts make him an almost unique talent.
“A lot of players become a number 10, because they can’t score as a number nine,” Sherwood said. “But he’s different Dele Alli. He’s the perfect number 10 because he gets forward an occupies centre-backs. He’s a goal threat and he’s like Frank Lampard. He has a long way to go to emulate Frank, but he’s certainly on his way.”
Alli has been in wonderful form for Tottenham over recent weeks, and he has attracted a lot of attention.
The England international has netted nine goals in his last nine appearances for Spurs, and it has led to suggestions that Bayern Munich could make an approach for him in the summer (The Times).

It seems unlikely that Spurs would even consider selling Alli at this stage of his career, as he is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in European football.
Alli is expected to start for Tottenham in their next match, which comes against Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
