Tottenham Hotspur are said to be considering offers for Kyle Walker.
Tim Sherwood has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT, that he wouldn’t let Kyle Walker leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
However, Sherwood feels that Walker is too valuable for Spurs to sell this summer.
“I wouldn’t let him go, as I think he’s a good player. I think Tottenham need two players in every position,” Sherwood said. “I think Trippier and Walker are the two best right-backs in the division.”
Sherwood also had comments on Harry Kane’s and Eric Dier’s futures at Tottenham.
Dier has been interesting Manchester United, according to the Daily Star.
And Sherwood understands why the Red Devils are interested in the defensive midfielder.
“I looked at Dier when he was 15/16,” Sherwood said. “We tracked him and had him in, and that was a long time in the making. He’s a reliable player, and is very versatile. He knows his limitations and sits in to the centre-back role or be a number six.
“I can understand why Manchester United want him.”
Sherwood also wants Kane to stay with Spurs for the rest of his career, but fears that the striker could leave if Real Madrid announce their interest in him.
“Harry’s a superstar,” the former Lilywhites boss added. “He will continue to score goals. He’s got everything.
“His biggest attribute is between his ears. I hope he stays at Tottenham for the first of his career.
“The only danger is a team in another white shirt in Real Madrid. I think if they come calling it will be a real test of Tottenham’s resolve.”
Kane finished as the Premier League’s top scorer last season, despite missing 11 matches with injuries, and is regarded as one of the top strikers in England now.
