Tim Sherwood expects Tottenham Hotspur to finish in the top three of the Premier League this season.
Tim Sherwood predicted on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 3, 2016) that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top three of the Premier League this season.
The former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager made the prediction following Spurs’ victory over Manchester City at the weekend.
The North London outfit got the better of City 2-0 at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The result means that Tottenham are now second in the league table with 17 points from seven matches, just a point behind leaders City.
Sherwood believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will finish in the top three of the Premier League this season.
“I just think you can’t see them being out of the top three,” Sherwood said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 3, 2016). “That’s for sure.”
Tottenham have made a good start to the season and are playing wonderful football as well.
The North London outfit came close to winning the Premier League title last season, and it looks like they could repeat those heroics during the 2016-17 campaign.
It is too early to make predictions, but it should come as a surprise if Tottenham are not at least in the running for a Champions League place come May.
