Aston Villa have won just once in the Championship so far this season.

Tim Sherwood has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 19th September, that he believes Aston Villa got it right with their transfer business in the summer.
Villa invested heavily in their squad during the previous transfer window, with their attack now looking much stronger.
However, the Claret and Blues have started the season in disappointing fashion.

Villa have won just once in their first eight matches – and they currently sit in 18th place in the Championship table.
Roberto Di Matteo is under pressure to get things right quickly, and Sherwood has the backed the Italian manager to start turning things around.
“It’s all changed there,” Sherwood said. “They have new owners and new people in there like Steve Round. I think it’s encouraging what they have done in the transfer market – they are listening to their manager. They have spent a lot of money.

“I think they will be there or thereabouts when they get into a rhythm. I think they have been a bit unfortunate their last few games.”
Villa went into the new term as one of the favourites to be promoted, but they are already playing catch up now.
The Midlands side are six points away from the play offs, and nine points back from the top two.
Villa are next in action at the weekend, when they take on high flying Newcastle United at Villa Park.
