Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is reportedly wanted by Ronald Koeman’s Everton in the summer transfer window.
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood predicted on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning (broadcast from 6am, July 4, 2017) that Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney will return to Everton in the summer transfer window.
Rooney started his professional club football career at Everton and moved to Premier League rivals United in 2004.
The England international forward, who can also operate as a midfielder, has developed in a world-class footballer at Old Trafford.

The 31-year-old has won the Premier League five times, the FA Cup, Champions League and the Europa League once each, and the League Cup on three occasions.
Rooney has struggled to be at his best in recent years and is not guaranteed a place in Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup.
Former Tottenham manager Sherwood believes that Rooney will go to Everton, and that he will be a success at Goodison Park.
“I think there is only one club he would go to, and that will be in a blue shirt,” said Sherwood about Rooney on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning (broadcast from 6am, July 4, 2017). “I think that he will go back and he will do very well.”
