Tim Sherwood told Optus Sport on Premier League Productions that Jose Mourinho will be ‘gutted’ that Jack Grealish might be back for Aston Villa’s clash against Tottenham tonight.
Days after crashing out of Europe, Spurs now face an Aston Villa side that might see the return of their star performer.
Dean Smith shared that it will be Grealish’s decision as to whether he plays against Spurs, but he did also claim that he hasn’t trained, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
But it could be mind games from the Villa boss because the Mirror reported this week that Grealish has been training and he is in line to play.
After that debacle in the Europa League, Sherwood thinks the last thing Mourinho needs is for Grealish to be returning and adding spice to Villa’s starting XI.
“They miss Grealish, you can tell that,” said Sherwood. “This boy is so good. He has been training this week, so he possibly might be back.
“So, more good news for Jose that Jack Grealish might be fit. He will be gutted with that news.
“He is the difference between Villa creating chances and creating very limited chances.”

Villa will be backed to pile more misery on Tottenham if Grealish is in the line-up tonight.
Whilst Smith’s men lost home and away to Spurs last season, they took the lead in both matches and then collapsed towards the end.
But this is a different Villa side and one hoping to make a late surge towards those Europa League places.
