Norwich City’s Championship winner Ben Godfrey is reportedly a target for Premier League giants Manchester United.

Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul has encouraged coveted defender Ben Godfrey to stay at Carrow Road and reject interest from clubs such as Manchester United this summer, speaking to The Mirror.
The Sun (26 April, page 54) reported that Godfrey’s impressive performances at the heart of Norwich’s backline had caught the eye of the Premier League giants with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all targeting the £15 million-rated centre-back.
The England U20 international is a cultured, ball-playing defender who has even chipped in with four goals for a Canaries side who sealed the Championship title on Sunday. And he can now expect to play Premier League football for the first time next season, whether in Anglia or elsewhere.
Though Krul, who has watched Godfrey at close quarters over the last nine months, has reminded his 21-year-old team-mate that first-team football is a must at this stage of his career.

“We all know when the big money is going to be offered, heads are going to get turned,” said the former Newcastle goalkeeper. “But if Manchester United come in at 19 or 20 years old, there is no point sitting on the bench.
“They have to play. I will tell them. The money will come to these lads.”
Krul’s comments are also a warning to Max Aarons, the swashbuckling right-back who is reported to be a target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Mirror.
Godfrey and Aarons are expected to remain a key part of Daniel Farke’s starting XI in the 2019/20 campaign with Norwich keen to keep their promotion winning squad together over the summer.
