Tim Krul joined Brighton and Hove Albion from Newcastle United in the summer of 2017.

Krul joined Brighton on loan from Premier League rivals Newcastle in the summer of 2017 and made the deal permanent in September 2017, as reported by The Daily Mail.
It saw the Dutchman’s 12-year association with the Magpies end, with the goalkeeper having made 184 appearances for Newcastle, according to The Daily Mail.

Krul has criticised Newcastle manager Benitez for making him train at the club’s academy along with midfielder Jack Coleback before his move to the Seagulls in the summer of 2017.
The 29-year-old Netherlands international goalkeeper also had loan spells at Ajax and AZ since 2016.

Krul told The Times: “It wasn’t right. I think [Benítez] knows that as well. Listen, I know how football works. If somebody wants to get rid of you, I don’t mind.
“If the right offer comes, I’ll go; I wouldn’t sit there just for the sake of it, but the way it was done . . . I shouldn’t have been put in the academy. I just wanted to be treated with respect. At least let me train with the first team.”
Krul has yet to play a Premier League game for Brighton this season and is clearly a back-up at the Seagulls.
Like the Seagulls, Newcastle are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
