Celtic finally signed Daniel Arzani from Man City on Friday.

Daniel Arzani, Tim Cahill, and Robbie Kruse of Australia speak during a training session during an Australian Socceroos media opportunity at Park Arena on June 25, 2018 in Sochi, Russia.

Celtic made their fourth signing of the transfer window on Friday by announcing the capture of Daniel Arzani.

The Australia international has joined Celtic on a two-year loan from Manchester City, who signed the 19-year-old winger from Melbourne City earlier this month.

Arzani follows Emilio Izaguirre, Scott Bain and Odsonne Edouard to Parkhead – the latter two made their loan moves permanent after impressing for Brendan Rodgers’s side last season.

The young attacker, who made several appearances at the World Cup in Russia this summer, has also teamed up with Socceroos team-mate Tom Rogic in Glasgow.

Arzani is one of Australia’s most promising young footballers and he received a congratulations from a legendary compatriot after sealing his move.

Here is how Everton and Premier League legend Tim Cahill, who scored 56 goals in 226 top-flight outings for the Toffees, reacted on Twitter to the youngster’s move to Celtic.

Arzani is the first outfield player to join Celtic on loan since Charly Musonda, whose 18-month agreement was terminated before the end of last season after struggling to impress Rodgers.

Fans of the Parkhead club will be desperate for Arzani to be a little less Musonda and a little more Patrick Roberts, who returned to parent club Man City this summer after a brilliant two-and-a-half year loan spell with the Bhoys.
