Marco Silva’s Everton side avoided an upset last night, as they made it through in the Carabao Cup.

Tim Cahill has praised Everton for coming through a challenge against Lincoln City yesterday.
Everton beat Lincoln 4-2 in the Carabao Cup in what was a pulsating encounter.
And Cahill was generally impressed by what he saw from his former side.
The Australian did suggest that he thought Everton new boy Moise Kean was unlucky to score, and also had praise for the likes of Cenk Tosun and Richarlison.
Everton actually fell behind against Lincoln early on, but they recovered well.
Lucas Digne equalised with a brilliant free-kick, before Gyfli Sigurdsson netted from the spot.
Marco Silva’s side looked like certainties to progress at that point, but a wonderful strike from Bruno Andrade put Lincoln back on level terms.
It was then up to Alex Iwobi and Richarlison to score late on to ensure that Everton progressed to the next round, where they will take on Sheffield Wednesday.
