Richarlison has joined Tottenham for a club-record fee of £60million from Everton on Friday and both Tim Cahill and Allan have responded to the news on Instagram – commenting on Richarlison’s Instagram post.
The 25-year-old has opted to depart after four years at the club. Everton needed to cash in on a big player this summer in order to bring in some cash to ease concerns regarding Financial Fairplay this summer.
Richarlison’s move is expected to see Spurs pay £50million up front – and a further £10million in add-ons. He has penned a contract in North London until the summer of 2027, which Tottenham announced on Friday.

The ex-Watford attacker himself, took to Instagram. He posted a heartfelt message on Instagram to Everton fans, thanking him for his time on Merseyside and stating that words and love do not express how he feels.
Responding to his post, Everton icon Cahill gave his verdict. He told Richarlison it is “never goodbye” but thanked Richarlison for his contribution to the club and wished both the attacker and his family well. Allan also commented.

It is interesting what Cahill says – perhaps hinting there is always a place at Everton for Richarlison, down the line. But right now, it is a brilliant move for both player and Tottenham, landing a player yet to even reach his prime.
The Brazil ace gives Spurs a player that could easily start over Dejan Kulusevski on the right flank. It finally gives Spurs proper competition behind Harry Kane. An expensive signing, but a real statement of intent from Tottenham.
