Jacob Bridgeman has become the latest champion of The Genesis Invitational, earning the respect of Tiger Woods.
Woods is the tournament host of The Genesis Invitational, which was played at the iconic Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California.
Despite the very strong field that included the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, Bridgeman emerged victorious.
The American finished on 18-under to secure the win, ending his tournament one shot ahead of McIlroy and Kurt Kitayama.

Bridgeman received the trophy from golfing legend Woods, who has now congratulated the champion on social media.
Woods shared a photo of the duo on Instagram with the message: “Congratulations to [Jacob Bridgeman] on winning The Genesis Invitational as the 100th champion in tournament history.
“Thank you to [Genesis USA], the players, the fans, and everyone who joined us throughout tournament week.

Jacob Bridgeman was building momentum towards The Genesis
Bridgeman had definitely been threatening to finally break through on the PGA Tour ahead of The Genesis Invitational.
His impressive 2026 season now comprises one win from his five starts, from which he also boasts two top 5s and three top 10s.
He has made the cut on every occasion, having previously played the Sony Open, The American Express, the WM Phoenix Open and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Bridgeman saved his best golf for The Genesis, which can’t have been easy given the massive crowds and the presence of one of the greatest golfers to ever live.
Injury has kept Woods out of PGA Tour action for some time, but there is increasing hope that a blockbuster return is on the cards in the very near future.
His 82 PGA Tour titles are the most of all-time alongside Sam Snead, while his 15 major wins are behind only the 18 of Jack Nicklaus.
