Should Tottenham make a move for Alexandre Lacazette this summer?
Tottenham Hotspur tried to find a reliable and dynamic alternative to Harry Kane last summer, but so far Vincent Janssen is yet to show he is it.
The prolific form of Harry Kane has once again made this less of a problem than need be, but if Spurs are going to reach the next level then they need to alleviate the pressure on the England striker.
That is why they must pay close attention to comments made by Alexandre Lacazette this week about his future at Lyon, hinting it could be coming to an end.

In an interview broadcast by Canal+ and Eurosport this week, the French international insisted he is looking for a new challenge which can progress his career.
He said: “I think that the right moment has arrived to leave. I think that this summer I will need a change of scenery and discover something else, still with the idea of advancing and progressing in terms of football and as a person. I will continue to work, in the hope that good opportunities will come this summer.”

There is every chance Tottenham could be the club he is looking for. They are likely to secure Champions League qualification again, and the opportunity from 2018 to play in their new stadium has to be an appealing factor.
Tottenham can offer him both opportunity and stability, and Lacazette would be a huge addition to their side.
This season he has scored 18 goals in 18 Ligue 1 games, with more than 100 career goals for Lyon to his name in total.
Lyon are a notoriously difficult club to do business with but Tottenham have done so successfully before, signing Hugo Lloris in 2012.
Lacazette would be a game changer for Tottenham, and could be the player the club thought they were getting in Vincent Janssen.
