Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on striker Patrick Bamford.

Leeds will take on Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Bamford is likely to start the game. The Englishman has been superb for the Whites and has been banging in the goals for fun this season.

According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in 31 Premier League games for the Whites so far this season.

Ahead of the match, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp raved about the former Nottingham Forest and Chelsea striker.

The Mirror quotes Klopp as saying about Bamford: “What a player, Bamford! I can remember, I’m pretty sure before the season I heard on talkSPORT, people saying that Leeds need a proper goalscorer, Bamford is not good enough, stuff like this. I’m so happy that he could prove them all wrong!

“He’s an exceptional player. The work-rate is outstanding, and he still plays the football he plays on top of that, and scores goals. That’s rare.

“They have a lot of interesting players, but Bamford, I’m really happy for him. I don’t know him, obviously, but it’s a nice career, a little bit later than others but still very impressive.”
