Liverpool fans have reacted to the rumours that Neco Williams could be loaned out by the club this summer.
TeamTalk have claimed that up to six clubs have expressed an interest in the Liverpool academy product.
Ranging from Premier League duo – Norwich and Burnley – to Championship clubs such as, Stoke, Cardiff, Swansea and Barnsley – they all seemingly want his talents on their books next season.
At Liverpool, it’s pretty clear that Williams is back-up to Trent Alexander-Arnold, so can Jurgen Klopp risk letting him leave?
Or should they do what a selection of Liverpool fans are asking for and that’s allowing him to leave on a permanent and then signing an upgrade for that position?
Either way, what happened to Liverpool defenders during the recently concluded season will surely be at the back of Klopp’s mind.
Joe Gomez, who is due to return from injury at the start of next season, can operate at right-back, so can the versatile, James Milner.
But can they take that risk in being short in that department when the season kicks off again?
Equally, the question has to be raised as to whether Williams is ready to play first-team football for the Reds and whether he needs time out on loan to take his game to another level?
