Who should Forest look to hand a chance in the New Year?
Nottingham Forest’s Tim Erlandsson
With 2017 beginning, a new year brings new hope to plenty of the young players at clubs in the United Kingdom.
So, which young players at Nottingham Forest might be worthy of getting a chance in the first-team in the next 12 months?
Here are three options for Philippe Montanier to consider…
Tim Erlandsson
Fans at the City Ground have not been overly impressed with the goalkeeping at Forest this season. Vladimir Stojkovic is inconsistent and Stephen Henderson didn’t win many fans either.
Swedish youth international Erlandsson is currently impressing out on loan at Barrow until January.
With first-team experience under his belt perhaps he might be worth a shot in the Forest first-team.

Ben Brereton
The striker has been a star for the Forest under-23s.
He has been scoring goals for fun and now many Forest fans would like to see him given a chance in the first-team at the City Ground.
Elvis Otim
Out wide is an area where Forest are weak.
The direct and pacey Otim could be an option for Forest to consider in the first-team ahead of some of the loan players brought in to fill the vacancies out wide.
Otim could provide fresh impetus and start following in the footsteps of Oliver Burke.
