It’s certainly been a mixed season for Wolverhampton Wanderers so far, and these three players in particular would benefit from a temporary move away.

Molineux has been a place of uncertainty for a long time now, whether that problem lies with the owners, players or supporters. Either way it doesn’t appear as if promotion is a realistic prospect this season, but with a small glimmer of hope still remaining it’s time to look at a few players who are better suited to making a short move away from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That’s not to say these three aren’t talented because they all are in their own way, but they appear to have either lost the spark that made them great or just cannot find a way into the first team. Whatever the case may be, a change in scenery is required.

Danny Batth

It’s been a notable decline for the Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Danny Batth, as his performances on the pitch have been consistently poor for a while now. The defender is slow to react, clumsy and his positioning has not been up to scratch. Perhaps a move away to another Championship or League One side is just what he needs to get the pressure off his back.

George Saville

In terms of potential, 23-year-old George Saville is full of it. The midfielder has shown sparks of brilliance during his time at Molineux, but in the grand scheme of the future it would be smart for him to take a loan move away for a while. Lambert’s side is stocked full of top midfield talent, and right now there’s no place for Saville to continue his development.

Dominic Iorfa

Unfortunately Dominic Iorfa falls into the same category as Batth when it comes to letting the side down in recent months. His early-career form has not been replicated when Wolves needed it most, and the best thing for the youngster to do is ply his trade elsewhere for a while. This may leave Wolves even shorter on numbers at the back, but the January transfer window is an opportunity to fix those issues for now.
