A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that Paul Lambert could well be on his way out of Wolves this summer due to concerns regarding Jorge Mendes’ potentially prominent role in bringing players to Molineux, with managerless Norwich City being touted as a potential destination for the Scotsman if he does leave.

Lambert, of course, enjoyed a brilliant spell in charge of the Canaries, guiding them to back-to-back promotions, taking them from the bottom of League One to the Premier League, and the Norwich hierarchy would be hoping that he can repeat the trick if brought back to Carrow Road.

Having done fairly well during his first few months with Wolves, it perhaps would not be a surprise if he considered targeting some of the players he has worked with at Molineux if he did head back to Norwich.

With that in mind, here are three Wolves players who would surely appeal to Lambert if he did rejoin Norwich…

Carl Ikeme

With John Ruddy set for a new challenge this summer and Michael McGovern arguably enduring an inconsistent campaign, it would hardly be a surprise if a new goalkeeper was on Lambert’s shopping list. There are few stoppers in the league as reliable and consistent as Carl Ikeme. Convincing the 30-year-old to leave Wolves may perhaps be tricky with the Nigeria international having spent his entire career on the club’s books.

It may be a gamble given how long Jordan Graham has spent on the sidelines with injury, but Jordan Graham arguably has the potential to be one of the most exciting wingers in the division. He has the capabilities to beat full-backs with ease, and his ability with the ball at his feet would certainly give Norwich fans plenty to be excited about.

Dominic Iorfa

Dominic Iorfa has arguably not enjoyed his best season since bursting onto the scene, but with Norwich arguably needing more options at the back, he would definitely be a great addition. At 21, he has the potential to get significantly better and is surely destined to be playing in the top flight one day.
