Tottenham trio have a chance to stake their claim for a first team spot.

While their rivals are all spending big, Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make any signings at all this summer.

This will likely change before the transfer window closes, but the lack of new faces means no extra competition for those who could really do without it.

Last season Vincent Janssen was billed as a huge addition to Tottenham’s team, but he barely made an impact.

When Harry Kane was injured, Tottenham looked better with Heung-Min Son up front than Janssen, but the striker should take encouragement from the way the South Korean kicked on after a mixed first season at the club.

Tottenham will be keen not to over utlilise Kane in pre-season, which should mean plenty of chances for Janssen to stake his claim at show the club don’t need to buy another striker.

Cameron Carter-Vickers

Cameron Carter-Vickers is on the fringes of the Tottenham first team, starting in cup games against lower league opposition last season.

The American youth international is a talented centre-back prospect, but his chances will be hampered if Tottenham sign another player in his position, as they have been linked with doing.

For now he can count himself fortunate to have got to pre-season without being moved down a spot in the pecking order.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou

French winger N’Koudou made no impact at Spurs last season, failing to score or register a Premier League assist.

His Spurs dream does not look over just yet, with top target Lemar looking unlikely to move, and transfer targets Wilfried Zaha, Douglas Costa and Bruma out of reach.

Pre-season would be an ideal time for the youngster to show he was worth the investment Tottenham made in him last summer.
