There have not been too many West Ham United players who deserve credit for the way in which they have carried out their business this season.

In a season that has seen the Hammers slip five spots below their seventh placed finish last term, there has been little to shout about.

Aside from stand-out player Michail Antonio, there are not many West Ham stars who can hold their head high with regards to how they have performed this season.

Here are three names though, who might have surprised the Hammers fanbase with their consistent levels of performance this term:

Darren Randolph:

The Republic of Ireland international has established himself as the Hammers’ first-choice ‘keeper this season.

Despite his side’s poor season, the 29-year-old has been a pillar of strength, and continues to improve week after week.

Angelo Ogbonna:

The Italian centre-half became an instant fan favourite when news broke in January that the 28-year-old had played the entire first half of the season whilst injured, in a bid to help out his team who were extremely short in the defensive department.

His calm and assured displays highlighted why he was brought to the club for £8 million in the summer of 2015.

Pedro Obiang:

The 25-year-old midfielder has been superb for West Ham this season.

He has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s side, and has been the cornerstone of everything good the Hammers have done this term.

And Bilic will have his work cut-out to keep hold of the Spaniard in the summer.
