David Moyes will be in the dugout for the first time as West Ham United boss when his side take on Watford on Sunday.

The Scot is expected to make a few changes to the side Slaven Bilic selected for the 4-1 home humbling against Liverpool a fortnight ago and there are a few under performing players at risk of being axed by the 54-year-old.

The Hammers have the worst defensive record in the Premier League this season having conceded 23 goals. Angelo Ogbonna has featured six times in the league. He’s conceded a penalty and let in 19 goals go in while he’s been on the pitch. Moyes wants to build from a solid defensive unit and Ogbonna’s form this season has been far from solid.

Another defender who is at risk is England international Aaron Cresswell who hasn’t been in great form this season. He’s been a shadow of his usual self and there have been times this season when Arthur Masuaku has come on and impressed at left-back so Moyes may opt for the Frenchman instead.

Despite a decent display against Germany, Joe Hart will certainly be looking over his shoulder. He is part of the back-line that has shipped 23, some he could have done better with. His understudy Adrian has played in all three Carabao Cup matches which West Ham have won – including an especially strong performances away to Spurs – as Moyes looks for a solid foundation.
