West Bromwich Albion have a good group of youngsters coming through the ranks right now.
West Bromwich Albion are currently fighting for their Premier League future but, further down the line, they should be able to give plenty of talented teenagers their breakthrough.
The Baggies have already benefited from giving youth a chance with Sam Field impressing this season, and their new manager Alan Pardew will be casting a long look over the academy in due course.
Here we take a look at three West Brom teenagers to watch out for in 2018:
Jonathan Leko
This is not the first time Jonathan Leko has been on a one-to-watch list, but he is no less deserving now. Currently on loan at Bristol City, the 18-year-old West Brom forward possesses the innate talent to ultimately succeed at The Hawthorns, even if his loan stint in the Championship has not gone according to plan thus far.
Winger is a notoriously tough position to perform consistently in and Leko’s time will undoubtedly come.
Callum Morton
Striker Callum Morton only joined West Brom’s academy from Yeovil Town last January, after impressing in a match against the Baggies, scoring a cracker in the FA Youth Cup almost exactly 12 months ago.
Since then he has done well for West Brom’s under-18s and their under-23s and, if he continues scoring, 2018 could be a big year.
Max Melbourne
Left-back Max Melbourne is one of West Brom’s brightest prospects and in time there is little doubt that he will break through at The Hawthorns.
Equally comfortable further forward or at centre-back, the 19-year-old is a regular for the Baggies’ under-23s and is earmarked for big things sooner rather than later.
