West Ham will take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League clash on Friday at the London Stadium. The Hammers striker Andy Carroll will miss the game through suspension after he was sent off against Burnley.

With striker Diafra Sakho also missing out with a back problem, it remains to be seen how Slaven Bilic approaches the game. Here are three possible ways he can replace Carroll:

4-3-3 with Hernandez upfront

Bilic has revealed in his press conference that Hernandez will be fit to play despite a hamstring scare. The absence of Carroll will allow Chicharito to play in his favoured no 9 position. He could be supported by Antonio and either of Arnautovic or Lanzini on the flanks.

Javier Hernandez of West Ham United controls the ball during the Premier League match between Burnley and West Ham United at Turf Moor on October 14, 2017 in Burnley, England.

4-2-3-1 with Hernandez upfront

If Bilic wants to bolster the midfield region and at the same time strengthen the attacking department then he could field the trio of Antonio, Lanzini and Arnautovic behind Hernandez.

3-4-3 without Hernandez

Bilic has made it clear that Toni Martinez will not be picked in the squad for the Brighton game.

In case Hernandez fails to recover completely with hamstring problems, Bilic still could field a 3-man attacking set up with Antonio being used as a false nine (a tactic used by Jurgen Klopp with Roberto Firmino at Liverpool), supported by Arnautovic and Lanzini on the flanks.
