Glasgow Rangers have made a fairly solid start to the season, but perhaps a few of the Ibrox side’s squad deserve a few more chances after the international break.

With the international break now upon us, Pedro Caixinha may perhaps be taking stock of Rangers’ season so far and wondering whether to hand some currently underused players within the squad the chance to impress when the Scottish Premiership season resumes.
To help the Portuguese, HITC Sport has taken a look at three players who arguably deserve more chances in the coming weeks…

Jordan Rossiter
Jordan Rossiter’s Gers spell has been plagued with injury. Caixinha confirmed to the club’s official website shortly before the recent Old Firm game that he had not been training due to a knee problem, so it would be unfair to criticise the Portuguese for the former Liverpool trainee’s lack of appearances in recent times. The midfielder has not been seen too often when he has been fit however, so perhaps he should be given a run of games when he is finally ready to add to the four appearances he has made this term.

Jason Holt
Jason Holt has made just one Scottish Premiership appearance this term with Caixinha preferring to pick Graham Dorrans and Ryan Jack in the middle of the park. He was excellent however, when brought on against Hamilton, winning the penalty that led to Rangers’ fourth, and that display hinted that he does deserve to feature more frequently.
Ryan Hardie
With fans questioning what is going on with Kenny Miller at Ibrox, there may perhaps be a space opening up in the first-team for another striker with only Alfredo Morelos and Eduardo Herrera also available to Caixinha. Ryan Hardie scored a hat-trick for the under-21s against Brentford B at the weekend, and appears to be one of the brightest prospects in the Light Blues squad at present. He has made just one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership this term, but if Miller no longer features in Caixinha’s plans, Hardie should be brought into the fold to show what he can do.
