Tottenham Hotspur should consider letting these prospects leave on temporary basis.

For Premier League clubs the focus during the January transfer window isn’t just on signing players but also on attempting to secure loan deals that could potentially enhance the development of some of their best prospects.

Tottenham Hotspur have some very talented young players at their disposal, and with manager Mauricio Pochettino having fielded a rather strong side in the FA Cup victory over AFC Wimbledon, it seems as though several members of the club’s U23 players would benefit from heading out on loan this month.

Here are three players who fall into that category.

Marcus Edwards

Marcus Edwards of Tottenham Hotspur and Jamie Hanson of Derby in action during the Premier League 2 match between Derby County and Tottenham Hotspur at Pride Park Stadium on October 27,...

Capable of playing as a winger or an attacking midfielder, Edwards is widely seen as being one of Tottenham’s standout starlets but he has found first-team playing time very difficult to come by.

A loan spell, perhaps to a Championship or League One club, would hopefully enable Edwards to get regular playing time and would provide an indication as to what level he’s at.

Shayon Harrison

Shayon Harrison of Spurs holds off Lamine Kaba Sherif of Leicester City during the Premier League 2 match between Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur at Holmes Park on January 3, 2018 in...

The forward has been in impressive form for Tottenham at U23 level this season, scoring three goals in six Premier League 2 appearances, and he gained experience while on loan at Yeovil Town in League Two last campaign.

Harrison is now seemingly ready for another spell elsewhere as he looks to prove that he can also find the net with regularity in senior football.

Anthony Georgiou

Anthony Georgiou of Tottenham Hotspur holds off Elliot Embleton of Sunderland during the Premier League Two match between Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland at The Lamex Stadium on December...

Usually deployed on the left wing but also capable of operating as a left-back, Georgiou made his senior debut for Tottenham against APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League earlier this season.

The 20-year-old would surely relish the prospect of playing regular senior football as he looks to make the next step in his development.
