Tottenham are interested in signing Real Madrid left back Sergio Reguilon, according to Spanish outlet AS.
Reguilon, 23, enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Sevilla last season, where he was part of the team which eliminated Wolves and Manchester United en route to Europa League glory.
It seems there’s still a lot to be decided over his future, but we’ve taken a look at the impact his arrival would have on three Spurs players.
Ben Davies
Reguilon’s arrival would give Jose Mourinho a distinct choice to make.
Does he prefer Davies more conservative style, tucking in on the left and allowing the right back to bomb on?
Reguilon would add attacking thrust down the left, but having both full backs isn’t an especially typical feature of Mourinho sides.
It could be horses for courses, and raises the prospect of Davies playing on the left of a back three at times.

Danny Rose
England international Rose’s Tottenham days already look numbered.
The arrival of another elite left back would surely force his exit and Rose needs to be playing if he’s got his eye on a spot at Euro 2020.
Spurs’ longest serving player just doesn’t look to have a place at the club any more.
With just one year remaining on his contract, it would be no surprise for Daniel Levy to try and cash in while he can still get something back for Rose.

Ryan Sessegnon
Rose’s bleak Spurs future has raised the prospect of greater gametime for Sessegnon this season.
The arrival of another left back would limit that prospect, at least defensively.
Sessegnon can also play on the left wing and it might be that more of his opportunities come in that role this season if Reguilon signs.
His best position still isn’t clear and perhaps Reguilon’s arrival would impact that decision.
