Glenn Hoddle accused Tottenham of lacking game changers.
Tottenham Hotspur suffered defeat to Bayer Leverkusen this week, and have been taking plenty of flak for their non-performance.
Former Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle was a pundit in the BT Sport studio for the game, and criticised the lack of impact players in the squad.

He said: “There is no game changer there for Tottenham. Nobody who can get hold of a game, who can create when the teams not playing well, they have really got to get their act together.”
Except past performance has shown this is not strictly true. Tottenham have a team full of players capable of changing a game, they simply need to step up.
None more so than the trio of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, and Erik Lamela, who were all outstanding at various points last season.
| Goals | Assists | |
|---|---|---|
| Dele Alli | 10 | 9 |
| Christian Eriksen | 6 | 13 |
| Erik Lamela | 5 | 9 |
The trio combined to score 21 goals and create 31 between them. Lamela missed the game in midweek through injury, but Eriksen and Alli started, and all three have featured regularly in recent matches.
Despite this Spurs have netted only four goals in their past six games, prompting plenty of questions for the team, who need to step up away to Arsenal this weekend.
The big stage is the perfect match for Alli and Eriksen to show a reaction, and show why Hoddle is wrong that Tottenham do not have game changers in the squad.
Lamela will again be missing through injury, but on his return after the international break he will need to hit the ground running, as Spurs cannot afford to have any more passengers.
If they cannot do it, and continue their slump over the coming weeks, they will effectively prove him right, and prompt the club to re-enter the transfer market in January.
