Tottenham Hotspur claimed a point on Sunday afternoon as they drew 1-1 away at Crystal Palace.
Spurs took the lead in the first half, as Harry Kane’s long-range strike wasn’t dealt with by Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.
However, the Eagles pushed Spurs back in the second half, and when Hugo Lloris couldn’t handle Eberechi Eze’s free kick, Jeffrey Schlupp fired home the equaliser.
Spurs still went close to a winner as Guaita made stunning saves from Kane and Eric Dier to deny Jose Mourinho’s men all three points.
Tottenham stay top of the league given that Liverpool also drew on Sunday, meaning their midweek meeting now takes on even greater importance.
Spurs players took to social media to react after their draw at Selhurst Park, with Kane admitting he was ‘gutted’ with the result.

Moussa Sissoko noted that the result wasn’t what Tottenham were expecting, whilst Eric Dier added that it was ‘disappointing’.
All three players made their thoughts clear though, as they turned their attentions to trying to beat Liverpool on Wednesday night.
