The Glasgow Rangers sensation looks to be closing in on a move to Chelsea but could there be another late twist?

According to a recent report from the Express, Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has tried a last ditch attempt to convince midfielder Billy Gilmour to reject a move to the Premier League in favour of a prolonged stay at Ibrox.
Here are three things the new Gers boss should tell the 15-year-old in a bid to secure his future:
He will play
The best way Caixinha can convince the teenager to commit his future at Rangers is to guarantee playing time.
While it would be foolish to throw a 15-year-old into the starting line-up week in, week out, the new man in charge at Ibrox has the power to give him minutes, regularly including him in match day squads and fast-tracking his development without it being detrimental to his overall progress.
He has his whole future ahead of him
Speaking of which, Caixinha should stress to the youngster that he has his whole career ahead of him and rushing into a move to the Premier League has rarely worked out for similar players in the past.
There are warning signs left, right and centre, with players tipped to be the next big thing falling into obscurity.
That will not happen at Rangers, where he will be one of a few not one of many.

Chelsea stockpile youth with few ultimately breaking through
Let’s face it, Chelsea have a habit signing the great and the good of young talent from across Europe only to send them out on loan time and again, with only a tiny minority ever getting close to the senior side.
Gilmour could be one of them but is it really worth taking that risk?
