Kirchhoff’s contract at Sunderland expires at the end of the season, meaning he could be available in January.
Sunderland will not want to risk losing the 26-year-old on a free, so Palace may have a chance of signing the defensive midfielder when the transfer window reopens.
Jermain Defoe
Sunderland will not want to lose Defoe, but he is one of the most valuable assets in their current squad.
